For a game that's already sold well over 3 million copies while still in beta, you would think that the official launch of its latest game-changing update would be a major announcement. But that's just not how Mojang rolls. With a tweet and a Facebook update the studio announced that Minecraft 1.8, the long-awaited Adventure Update, is now live.
After intentionally leaking the update on Monday, Mojang's Markus "Notch" Persson announced late last night that the studio has uploaded the real, official, ready for prime time Adventure Update and it is now ready for download on Minecraft.net. Check the trailer:
