Lets clear this whole thing up. My Destructoid comment.

As you can see in the picture, Jim Sterling himself took the liberty to intellegently and constructively reply with great handwriting to my comment on twitter, the best damn website in the world. While my comment does make a lot of sense, the swearing and flamming in it does lower the quality of the comment so he was able to use that to his advantage to make it look bad. But since I have been touched (albiet inappropriately) by fame, I will now have to explain why I made that comment and why Destructoid remains one of the worst websites for gaming ever.

Take a look at Destructoid's history in reviewing games. You will notice every single PS3 game on that website has been given an incredibly low score. Everything from Uncharted to Resistance to LBP has always been given a 6 at the greatest. One could argue that Jim Sterling's mind is unable to comprehend too much awesome at once so he assumes that game is terrible. But I think the more obvious explanation is that Jim Sterling is a raging fanboy who just wants to ensure that no PS3 games ever has a score higher than a 70 on Metacritic. So he does what he does best, make a little website to give his little opinion on games in order to put a dent in PS3 exclusives. Does Metacritic actually matter? No. Not when they accept such biased reviews as Jim Sterlings. But to fanboys, Metacritic will always matter and those who have the choice to shape it will do so.

So it came as a surprise to me when Destructoid actually released a positive PS3 review for once. Killzone 3 managed to get a perfect 10 . Why would they do this? Jim Sterling is an obvious fanboy who hates every PS3 game ever right? Then I looked at other reviews and realised that the meta score for Killzone 3 is going to be pretty mediocre even if Destructoid were to actually give it a pefect review. So this would be the perfect time for Jim Sterling to prove he is "not a fanboy" and give it a perfect score. After all, the meta score is screwed anyway so this is the perfect backhanded compliment as well as a cover up of his own agenda. Everyone wins, except for PS3 of course.

Im pretty surprised at the amount of negative feedback I got for my comment. Especially considering all the negative feedback that is usually directed at destructoid. Just because they have one "positive" score for a ps3 game doesnt mean that all of a sudden they are on your side and I find is incredibly hard to believe that the majority of N4G fell for that review. Learn to read between the lines and see that this was just Jim Sterling covering his own ass to make it seem like he is not a fanboy. Destructoid is still the same corrupt, biased, unprofessional website it has always been and that will never change. I can only hope Destuctoid will one day be banned from Metacritic because that would be the best slap in the face for them.
